Hey Everyone,

As you may have know by now, our content creators have been constantly receiving fake/false claims by 3rd party content ID companies. Majority of the time, this is caused by companies not fact checking if the song really belong to the artists. Some artist would just rip the track, make some small changes to it and claim the track is theirs. Which is completely absurd. The other big problem is the usage of free music samples. Most content ID companies do not ask their artists if the song contains free to use music samples. This is important because music samples are not allowed to be content ID-ed.

After some consideration, we have decided to adopt “TheFatRat” system. This means we will enable content ID for our catalog to prevent fake claims. Our “Magic Free Releases’ are still FREE TO USE & FREE TO MONETIZE except the content creator will need to dispute each claim. You will get a claim from “Repost Network” or "The District". Please dispute the claim with this code: “I have properly credited Magic Recordson my video.” The claim will be released within 1-2 days and you can monetize the video yourself. Also, you won’t lose any revenue that’s made between the claim and the release. YouTube holds it in an escrow account for you.

Also, please keep in mind “Magic Cover Releases” and Magic Co-Releases with Nightblue are okay to use but NOT MONETIZABLE.

Thanks,
Magic Team -
