This is my reaction, analysis and breakdown of Morissette Amon’s great performance of her new Bruno Mars Medley. This featured a lot of classic songs and some great singing. I enjoyed all the power, Morissette’s great musicality, and the pretty diverse choices in vocal placement that we have gotten. This song features some great riffs and interpretations of melodies.

However I have to say my favorite part of this performance would be the incredible arrangement. The hits and the transitions were really well thought out and together. Whoever wrote this chart did a great job, I’m assuming it’s someone on her team.

I am a jazz/R&B vocalist, baritone saxophone player, music educator, and vocal coach local to New Orleans. I have two degrees in jazz/music education and work professionally playing music.
