Today we're reacting to Morissette performing the Heart Medley live — "What About Love," "These Dreams," and "Alone." Three songs originally performed by one of rock's most untouchable voices, Ann Wilson. And Morissette? She was not phased. Not for a second. ????

Anyone daring enough to tackle Ann Wilson's catalog needs talent AND courage. Morissette had both in abundance. The crazy high notes? No sweat. The lower passages? Just as confident. She stood on that stage cool as can be — a smile on her face the whole time — and delivered all three with an ease that frankly had my jaw on the floor.

There's a certain kind of voice where the very first note tells you everything you need to know. Morissette is one of those. You know immediately — this is special. This is something different. I'm genuinely mad this sat in my backlog for as long as it did, but I'm so glad I found my way back to it.
