This song is a beast—and it’s by the powerhouse Filipina herself, Morissette!

I fell in love with both her and this song just seconds into the chorus.

Vocal nerds and voice lovers: if you don’t know her yet, PLEASE go check her out. Her voice is one-of-a-kind—wildly special and endlessly expressive.

She uses what I like to call a sizzle ⚡️—a quick, whistle-like tone that cuts right through you. It’s piercing in the best way and adds a gorgeous layer of complexity and artistry.

And that’s just one ingredient. The range in this song is bananas, y’all.

My vocal style is a lot more “pointy” than Morissette’s, but I’m definitely borrowing from some of the delicious detail she brings to this track.
